Which do you prefer, ebooks or the actual book?

There are different advantages and disadvantages. For me I use both on different occasions. I keep a bunch of ebooks on my phone in case I would need to wait longer than usual like waiting for my dentist. I prefer reading books at home so as not to cause more damage to eyes. How about you? Do you also use both simultaneously?

I have a Kindle, but haven't used it in ages. I really prefer a real book. There's just something about the printed page.

Yes, there is something different when you are holding an actual book and see your progress as you read.

Hello dear friend, how are you? The topic you introduced, from my point of view, is interesting. I would like to say that reading ebooks just for fun, would be okay for me, just in case of a short ebook. Regarding a real book, I would prefer those for studing, I need to feel the book in front of me and highlight the important sentences, that is the way I use for studing. Studing Medicine, books are expensive and most likely too weight, meaning that could be hard for me to carry all the time I am out of home. In case I had the possibility to buy them, I would also look at them in internet just for downloading them and use it in my smartphone. When you need to search something really quick, in case of those pdf books, you can try the finder and search somehting faster than reading plenty of pages. I hope I could share my point of view clearly ;P Have a nice week!

I've never had an ebook... Not that I'm against it, I'm just not much of a book reader.

Hello Mara Lam. I prefer actual books. There is the total package in an actual book. A cover; pages you can feel, turn and smell. You can't judge a book by its cover, but I love a great cover. I love a great actual book. I feel that with ebooks I don't get the full assurance of having every page and/or its complete printed presentation. I like ebooks for their convenience and economic value, but they lack the ability to give me something I can fully take advantage of. I like turning pages, glossy covers, and having something that I can fully access.

I've got a few thousand books. Some here and some in storage. Now i've got my tablet fixed I stick to ebooks for spacial reasons. I want to get rid of all my posessions except for the absolute essentials so I won't be buying paper books anymore.
