Some Days Are Better Than Others

The title might make me out to be a pessimist, at least I presume those who read this will think that, but truth be told, I look to the good in all things.
I just want to let out a bit of steam. Murphy's Law states if something could go wrong, there is a potential for it to go wrong, and such things culminated into Murphy's fury today for me.
Ever have one of those days? How do you release the tension building up in your neck?

Yes, and that is what I immediately thought when I began to well up with frustration.

@cintronwriter One of my strategies on such occasions is whiskey. Another is having a good laugh at myself. Sometimes I kick the cat.

Oh yea, that's exactly what I did yesterday. A little bit of Johnny Walker Black took away the tension I had when arrived home with.

What happened? I am a total believer of Murphs Law. Or the law that says bad things come in threes. I am happy to say today was decent for me although I have had those stressful days. I would suggest taking a long hot shower or bath, relaxing in whatever way you can and sleeo it off. Tomorrow is your chance to start anew.

Where do I start. I ride the train to and from work here in Socal so pretty much everything I do is on a timetable, but I also have a car parked at my place of work to visit my kids once a week, and to travel back and forth from the station and work.
After visiting my kids yesterday, I took a different way back to the train station in which the road was reduced to one lane, causing a boatload of traffic. The only thought in my mind sitting in that traffic was getting to the train station before the train left because of it did leave, I would have to wait for the next one 30 minutes later, which would get me home around 7:20 pm versus my normal time of 5:09 pm.
If the unexpected traffic wasn't enough, I got a flat tire 8 minutes away from the station with less than 15 minutes to spare, so in my dress slacks and long sleeved shirt, I pulled into a parking lot, hurried to remove the flat tire and replace it with a donut spare while dripping in sweat. Oh and one last thing, as I loosened the lug nuts on the tire, I burned the fingertips of my index finger because the lug nuts were like removing a cookie sheet from an oven, blazing hot.
So as you said, in threes, and the frustration of my day was just that.

I'm having one of those days too. I was on top of the world yesterday... today, someone could hand me a million dollars and it would improve my mood. A nice hot shower does it for me!

Sorry to hear that. Yes, a shower might relieve the stress you're feeling.

Yoga stretches are one of the best ways for me to relax in general. You leave the noise of the mind behind and discover silence.

True that. When I arrived at the station and drove off in my truck, I scanned to the jazz station. It took the edge off to say the least.

It is not easy to have many problems in life, but life is that way we have to suffice in order to survive. It is indeed challenging, for we always emerged triumphant.

My thoughts were isolated on the day at hand, not problems as a whole. I understand problems exist for all of us, but it's those days when things go wrong, over and over again.
