After my much hectic schedule and constant travelling for the last one week, I am feeling very tired since yesterday ! But, despite that I was unable to sleep properly last night ! It happens to me quite often, sometimes, I might get awake at even a faint sound or movement and this makes me drowsy & lethargic during the day. Can anybody suggest some ways, so that I too could have a sound/deep sleep of continuous 7- 8 hours with almost no night time awakenings ?

Hi Reema, I hope your sleeping pattern is back to normal. I think sometimes you can get too tired, or your mind is restless and preventing you from shutting down for the night. If all else fails, try lying on a cliff edge, you'll soon drop off.

@RRoyy2 No, don't try that, it might ruin your pretty face. Hey, you are here less than I am. Have you been asleep all this time?

Maybe you need to take Melatonin.

@RRoyy2 it is important that you consult the doctor first before taking it. Some information about melatonin and side effects can be read here

Just try few things. # there should be dark in your bed room # there should be no noise in the bed room # there should be cleanliness and light fragrance in the room # also you should not sleep in day if you don't want sound sleep at night.

@rroyy2 I never slept at all when I was in Delhi - I never sleep when I'm travelling in case I miss anything.
