I was scrolling through my facebook feed when I came across this. Somebody (A Christian) posted an article saying that England's Queen had opposed gay marriage.
The article was posted back in March of this year. Of course I didn't believe for a second that she opposed it, but went ahead and did some research anyway.
I was right, and another source cites that the "leaked" information was supposedly from a Queen's Friend. Furthermore, "Senior Sources" at Buckingham Palace apparently state that 'It's highly unlikely a Friend of The Queen would pass on her thoughts to the media."
I will post the links here for anyone interested. The first link, which will be the one hyperlinked, is the article that was posted on facebook.
The second link, will be the one I found.

*For those still confused the "mymarriageisbeautiful" link is the one posted to FB and the "Advocate" link is the one I found.*
I am not saying that The Queen does or does not have these views, but as one article stated, I don't see her expressing her views in an environment where they might be leaked.
My Further Views :
The person on facebook I mention here has the right to their own beliefs. However, I can not stand to see posts from people, no matter what media source, supporting and advocating such ignorant beliefs. I am sure that statement angered several people here. My thing is this, you have the right to your beliefs but I don't believe that any group should be persecuted for their way of life. Another person's life choices do not have an effect (affect? I forget which) on whether you will go to whatever afterlife you believe in.
I also believe that you can't "save" anyone. Persuading a person to join your religion does not "save" them but only encroaches on their own rights. Of course, they have the right to not join your religion, so there is that.
I am just pointing out a few of the reasons why I take a more spiritual approach to religion.
Opinions are great and appreciated, but let's not get in a spitting match, yeah?
The Queen did not approve of the legalisation of same-sex marriage. While in favour of civil partnerships, as a woman of deep Christian faith she took a different view on the legislation allowing same-sex couples to ‘marry’. She expressed her frustration t

@scribbledadnauseum Of course the Queen would never make her personal views known and her friends know better than to leak anything. And of course she's not England's Queen but Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. And Canada, Jamaica etc.

I knew I'd get some flack by just naming England.
Have I been sleeping under a rock? Canada and Jamaica?

@ScribbledAdNauseum Most definitely, Canada! My father served in the RCAF (the Canadian air force) and marched in the parades celebrating Her Majesty's coronation in the 50s

All I am saying is, don't believe in the first source. We can't always believe in the media anyway, but don't just see something and instantly think it's truth.

The queen doesn't give opinions on anything like that sort of thing or politics.
She stays neutral in this sort of thing.

I doubt any of the Queens trusted circle would ever divulge such a sensitive issue.
