Do you do this?
Psst.
Do you know its meaning?
Psst.
This is used to attract someone's attention surreptitiously.
Some Filipinos used "psst" to call someone else attention.
How do Filipinos say "Psst"?
Some can have that whispering "psst", if they have this "secretive topic".
That loud "psst" can be for something important that we have really look fast.
With the famous.youtuber mikey.bustos, he pssted someone on the train. Why?
To found out among the passengers is a Filipino.
Yes, Filipinos are.known to be psst-ing like common call. Lol.
Psst.
By the way, there is also, "oist".

"Oist" I do not understand, same meaning? Is "psst" used to flirt with girls on the street perhaps?

Japanese can say "Ano ne" or just "ne" to get someone's attention but it's very informal. Some girls flap their hand at their friend and say "ne, ne" to get their attention. If we want to get the attention of someone we don't know we usually say "sumimasen."

Calling someone that way is being impolite. When you call someone, you must call him/her by name because he/she was a name. Even dogs have names, don't they? And if you do not know the name, you should address him/her as "Sir" or " Ma'am". (Not Ser Chief LOL!)
