Troubled Sunday

This Sunday has not started on the right track. When I opened the kitchen cabinet to prepare the coffee, a screw came out from the hinge and the door almost fall on my head. My husband came to my help and, while trying to put the screw back in place, he has crushed his index when closing the cabinet door. While we were busy fixing the door, Willy the cat came inside from the back window, breaking the vase that contained my orchid. Well, I love him, I will buy another. We decided that it was time to go outside to relax. We had a nice walk and we stopped at the cafe in the photo for a cappuccino with a fresh croissant. Finally our day was back on the right track. Have you ever had a bad day that finally turned out fine?

Coffee is always the best solution to a bad day.

I agree, I was no more in the mood to prepare breakfast this morning. Now it seems that everything is back to normal.

@LadyDuck I blame the cat, who probably loosened the screw in the first place.

@Asylum No, poor Willy, he only wanted his breakfast as everybody in the house.

Look at it this way - it could have started off far worse - the door could actually have fallen on your head, your husband could have broken his finger, and Willy could have hurt himself. So you could say the day started off well, then got even better

Thank you Janet, you made my day because what you say is so true. I am glad that nobody was hurt and the poor Willy looked so sorry for what he did.

Not always when something starts wrong continue to be wrong. I am glad that we went out for a walk and for breakfast outside, this is what we had to do as first choice.

@ladyduck Perhaps it was worth it since you ended up having breakfast in such a pretty looking café. I can well imagine myself sitting there on my own scribbling and pondering. I'm glad you're ok. If my day started like yours did I'd probably go back to bed and try again tomorrow.

The cafe is not too far from the lake, when you sit outside you can enjoy the view of the lake. In the morning is quiet and peaceful, then the tourists arrive. Going back to bed was not an option, because I had already removed the bed sheet and put them in the washer.

First of all , how's your head that was hit by the fallen door of the kitchen cabinet ? Secondly , it is good that you decided to go outside and have a snack on the cafe . That alone surely made up for the accident in the kitchen . Thirdly , that cafe looks so cozy .

No, my heat was not hit by the fallen door, but my husband crushed a finger in the door. He is fine today, the index is only a bit swollen. This cafe is very nice and quiet.

@Jessicalynnt It's not to bad to be a cat if you are a domestic cat like this one, very relaxed life, food, a comfortable bed inside the house, people do not live so comfortably.
