Planning A Picnic

This morning we had a walk to the old water mill. It's a quiet area, with a natural water source.
Looking around, we have noticed that they have created a new picnic area under the trees. There are new wooden benches and tables and grills, ready to be used by visitors.
I think I am going to prepare a food basket and we are going have a picnic under the trees the next Saturday or Sunday.
I plan to prepare some chicken wraps, a potato salad, deviled eggs and cheesecake.
It's a long time that I do not go for a picnic.
What do you think of this kind of food?

I think your menu is perfect picnic food - but don't forget something to drink!

Yeah, a soft drink would be a perfect match.

We used to go for a picnic all of the time when we Lived in Colorado.
Some of the parks here have nothing in them at all. they are not what I would call a park. but we did find an area that had grills and picnic tables. We could go back there..

That sounds great - and what a lovely place to have a picnic! I pack food on our little trips with the kids - so it's more of a backpack outing rather than a true picnic. Be sure to pack drinks too (we bring cold water bottles!).

Oh, it sounds yummy and in such a beautiful location. Have fun!
When our son was a little boy, he and I would walk to a nearby church and have a little picnic on the steps!

Good...nice thinking...I don't know those are not my idea of picnic food..lol. I am a vegan...so in all probability, I would have a bread with some pickle (I need it to survive) and some black coffee. Lots of snacks...and fruits. For me food is not as material as long peaceful time...out in open ..

We had several picnics on our trip to Canada and we had chicken sandwiches on one of them and cheese and fruit and baguette at another. It sounds delicious to me.
