Have you ever dreamed to be a doctor?

Before I graduated in high school, my dream is to be a doctor. I want to take a pre-med course like biology and proceed with the studies of medicine. I want to be a veterinarian or an internal medicine doctor or endocrinologist (focused on balance of hormones).
When my father died, my mother cannot afford to send me to medical school, so I ended up taking an inexpensive course in a public university. I took several scholarship to gain extra money for my studies. As of now, I no longer want to be a doctor as I am not young anymore.
Have you ever dreamed to be a doctor? If yes, what would be your specialty?

I am your opposite, my parents forced me to become a doctor, something I did not want to be. So I just finished my 4 year B.S. Course in a famous University in our country and did not continue to med proper. I worked for a short time as medical sales representative before putting up my own business which is my real interest.

@chiwasaki UST, UP is quality and cheap my sister studied there, so did my mother, and grandfather, a lot in our family finished there.

@chiwasaki Another couple of years and he will retire. He says he has more than enough to listen to the complains of his patients.

I also want to be a nurse when I was in grade school because of their uniforms.

@chiwasaki What I liked the most about it was the thrill combined with a sense of service towards the country. Yes, it burns a hole in your pocket to become a pilot here too.

Yes, that's fine with me. I love studying and researching medical related stuffs. But no money to be in med school. I am already 30 years old and I already gave up that dream.
