MYLOT RESOLUTION 2017 -AND BEYOND

I was at Bubblews a little over two years until its closure in 2015, and I would say it was a lovely site, but of course with shortcomings.
One of the least mentioned ones which I found rather exasperating was the ferocious mentality of some members on that site. I mean - some days Bubblews seemed more like a battleground than anything else.
Members who disagreed with another's point of view would attack the hapless contributor with such venom that many became scared to voice an opinion on certain issues. Some members were literally driven to tears and I know of one member who was threatened with physical harm, -- though I fail to see how he could carry out his threat from way across the globe.
Since I have been here for just over a month, I may not be the best person to voice an opinion, but so far I haven't seen that level of intolerance here at Mylot, and my wish is that we will continue to avoid combative attitudes.
I know that on any site where people post their views on various topics there is bound to be a heated discussion or two, but let us continue to refrain from verbal attacks on each other.

It is pretty respectful for the most part here. There was one guy I had a problem with but luckily he left or was banned. I knew him from here originally. I am glad he never came back here either. He was one of those people that just liked to argue to argue. You could even come to his view point and he would all of a sudden switch to the opposite. You would call him out and he start calling you names.

i liked bubblew, sorry it went down.. mylot is fun also but i agree i think there is not as much bad talking here

Yes, there is a lot of tolerance on MyLot and the admin will not stand for abuse. We can disagree without being disagreeable. MyLot is a great place!

Hiya, I was on Bubblews too until it closed . I agree with everything you said ....I found there were some very friendly people who would chat with you via your posts, but others were just plain nasty. This is a lovely site and I am sure that you will enjoy it x Happy posting.

Hopefully there's no bullies here in mylot. Most people here are nice. I never block a member until now as long as I can tolerate

@Kandae11 well said, Bubblews was a bully's paradise for lack of good moderation. Fortunately Mylot gets rid of such attackers quickly on them being reported so it doen't spread - most people here are lovely and I hope it stays that way

Hopefully you won't see that type of behaviour here.
I won't say that it has not happened, because that would not be true.
But you have to remember your manners and not lash out when someone else has made that error, and you need to move on with dignity.
I think that is the difference between the activity here on this site and that which occurred on the other site.

@lookatdesktop I hate to say this, but I doubt there will be less violence in 2017. In fact , the year hasn't started well at all.

I have found myLot, if anything, a bit laid back. I see no venomous attack on anyone. So, I agree, let live and let other's live. It's a good thing to interact peacefully.

You may find the odd, combative transplant from B here but I find it quite peaceful and respectful here.
