A difficult decision

If you were asked to choose to live for fifty years of guaranteed happiness or one hundred years without any guarantee, which would you choose? The more I think about this the more difficult the choice becomes.

I don't know I guess 100.... Because I can have lots of days to makes a difference and be happy and be a channel of happiness to others. In 100 years I can reach more people and I guess GOD is not cruel to make those days unfruitful. I chose 100 years... 50 years is selfishness I guess... If you can be with the people who makes you happy a bit longer why not make them happy or just be there when they are sad for another day. God bless.

Oh that's a tough one. Do the 50 or 100 years start now, or do they include my current age?

Since for me happiness is not what one has but what one makes of what one has I suppose I could live through those 100 years happily

A nice philosophic comment. You are not what you are but what you make of it.

100 is too long. I'd be happy with fifty blissful years.

I think you are probably quite young as when I reached 50 I felt that life had passed very fast.

With my kind of luck -- give me the 50 years of guaranteed happiness - I can live with that.

50 years of happiness is a gift that few people have. As we only live once it might be a good choice to go for the guarantee.

You must like the challenge of an adventure, 50 years would not suit you so I think your choice is right for you.

One hundred years without guarantee because we never know what the next moment holds for me. Just go with the flow amd savor each moment.
