There are some people are so arrogant to forget the past experiences and claimed nothing to be learned. I felt pity on these people. Once we took the first breath of life, we learned to survive. It always come for the first experience and able to relate oneself from the past. There will be no inventions from scientists if they never learned something from the past. Learning is always based from the moral values inculcated to our minds. We can able to share the ideas with the past experiences. For instance, we sometimes spend talking with our old folks. They provide essential information in connection to their personal experiences. “Is there no value at all?” I am sure there is. Image Credit: pixabay.com

There's plenty to learn from the past. Sometimes our worst mistakes lead to the biggest lessons learned.

I can't agree more. I will not also be right now without experiencing the flaws from the past.

There's no "real" value in it, just "fake" value. It's like the value of "rest and relaxation" (fake value) vs. the value of the "hard work" you could be doing instead (real value).

You have a point. It depends on how people perceived the real value of something from the past to present.

There is a lot of value when it comes to learning and life's lessons. There is a lot of things you might have endured and learned from that the next person may never, but then when you meet someone going thru them, and you can explain and show them how you got thru it it helps encourage them they can as well. The problem is those who never want to listen and thing they always know it all.

You said it very well. Some people claim that they know everything. That's the reason why they don't listen. I detached myself to these kind of people.

I do agree on that. We can move on to a new chapter of our lives and look back what we had learned from the past.

I think we can never move forward without learning anything from our past.

At some instances, it is better to have closure from the past before moving on.

@Shavkat Yes true. But there were times that we can't get what we want. Like a decent closure. But still the need to move on is a must.

@diosabella The closure of something will be answered in time. It would be delayed but things will be fine. We can still move on and leave it for the mean time.

Whatever experience we have in life, either good or bad. It is still essential to make us a better person. We were molded to be what we are right now.

I have learned so much from the stories of my senior clients. They have such interesting stories and often times gives me ideas of how to do things differently.

I also have the chances talking with my granny at the age of 98. I had learned so many things from her. The past experiences were being treasured and learn something from it.

It is the best foundation of how we become right now. Some people are so ungrateful to what past experience brought them. Regardless, we can disregard the bad things which is not applicable to our lives.
