Photo from the groom's seat

Deborah-Diane (@DeborahDiane) wrote a discussion 'Riding Through Wildflowers' recently and the photo showed the Californian wildflowers through which she was riding. It also showed the ears of her horse as she took the photo from horseback.
I thought you might like to see a photo from the passenger seat of a carriage horse (or pony in this case). The grey pony I am driving was called Kira and we were on a pleasure drive with other members of our driving club.
Kira didn't appreciate having to be in the middle of the group and not out the front and she nearly pulled my arms out trying to go faster. It was still an enjoyable day.

Been a long time since I have had the pleasure to ride in a Carriage like this drawn by horses. It is an awesome way to travel.

That looks like a big and strong horse but not that I know horses as I have been on only one horse ride but I survived and am too scared to try again as it didn't go too well.

@JudyEv I can only guess. I haven't gotten to ride in years, never got to ride much, loved the little bits that I was able to do so.

Sometimes i imagine how much safer it would be if everyone rode carriages drawn by horses instead of cars.

I know what you are saying but there are plenty of accidents with horse and carts too.

I love looking at horse and carriage .. it reminds me of a wedding we attended to and the bride arrived in a beautifully decorated horse and carriage ... so romantic

@epiffanie I guess they are. Although I love horses and carriages I always think if I don't go, that is one less trip the poor horses have to make.

Thank you. We've been very lucky. I hope we have a few more little ones still to come.

The picture makes me feel as if I were on the carriage and went through the endless open country.

Thanks for sharing this picture ... and mentioning my post. Isn't it funny how some horses do not like to be in second place? I have also ridden horses that wanted to be in front, and they let you know their feelings about it!
