My son has his Masters of Science in Teaching classes every Saturday and Sunday. So this morning, I got up of bed early to prepare breakfast. He requested rice and hotdogs, and sunny side up because he does not like to go out of the classroom and have snacks when he feels hungry.
The breakfast is typically Filipino in some food outlets and what I prepared was HOTSILOG, which means hot-(hotdog ), -si (sinangag or fried rice) and the suffix -log (itlog or egg).
I also prepared coffee for all of us. (The red mug is mine,by the way). The catsup is Heinz brought home by my big brother from UK. The loaf of bread is divided too for the dogs' breakfast.
We have 2 pieces of hotdog each.
What was your breakfast this April fool's day?

@ridingbet I always drink coffee in the morning, sometimes with only a bit of milk added inside.

@ridingbet I do not use creamer, it's only hydrogenated fat, I use real dairy cream, but I never drink milk.

indeed, because when eating breakfast, we should 'eat like a king'. we are actually breaking the fast throughout the night, so it should be heavy.

In India our breakfasts are quite different in composition.Of course, many of us in Urban India have bread,& noodles, common to most world areas .Today my family had vegetable noodles, with tomato sauce, followed by Tea. Presently it's around 16.30pm in evening. All this writing has made me a bit hungry,so would be having biscuits and coffee,by 5pm.Enjoy the weekend.

sometimes, my son would cook instant noodles for breakfast and we usually eat this with bread and coffee. it is already filling.
may i make a suggestion? if you put tags, you should put a comma after each word. it is indicated in the 'tags box' if you read it.

@hereandthere he does not divulge that info to me, because i am the ever-nagging mother into forcing him to apply in 'this company and that company', and he dislikes that. here in the city, he wants to apply a teaching job, but it is still vacation.
he applied in government offices too, but it seems his educational attainment is not qualified for the jobs.

It was actually corned beef. Then again, I'm thinking of buying a hotdog sandwich as it made me hungry.

i cook corned beef with egg for breakfast, but only if we have leftovers from last night's dinner. it is a corned beef omelette with rice.

but don't you realize that some posts on Face Book about what a hotdog is made of, may be destroying the product by a competitor? i have seen also about how hotdogs are made of: different meat from swine, goat, cow, carabao, even the eyes are also shown.

@thelme55 yes that time, there were no computers as social medium yet, and the only means of communication was the telegram and snail mail. and until now, i don't like yoghurt, but once my son gave ma a cup of yoghurt and it was flavored.

Lol. I just started a discussion about this before I read yours. I made corned beef and cabbage dinner. That's cabbage , onions and garlic. All cooked together in my pressure cooker ( it cooks much faster that way). I like your meal.
I would try it.

Its just bread and coffee for me always. Or else if I keep eating that kind of breakfast, I will be very fat already. Fats accumulate in my tummy. So, i usually have a hearty meal only for lunch. Dinner is just an apple.

there are some notions about what hotdogs are comprised of, and with what is shown in the social media, it reflects the attitude of the viewers, and i cannot blame them.
regarding fried fish, i like 'tuyo', 'tinapa' or the dried flying fish, fried so crispy.
