Sibling Rivalry HELP

I have 2 boys who fight over posessions constantly (the item is normally a small gadget of little financial value). The are always trying to get one up on the other. Has any one experienced this? That may have some solutions?

I think it is better to give some possessions with the same type and value.

Something that we all have been through some time or another. They keep that kind of behaviour up sometimes even when they are "grown up".
