My husband and I keep busy and we record all the shows we like during the day and will watch them when we have time. It is a great system, especially since a lot have been on before.
Sometimes while watching a show, my husband will ask me if we saw it already. He doesn't seem to remember things he has seen or not.
I can usually tell within the first few minutes it is on, but not him. I think this is kind of weird.

Sometimes if I do not want to see the show again I tell him we saw it but if I liked it I say we didn't see it.

It doesn't take any time as they record when we are busy or out of the house.

This is very interesting. There seems to be a lot of complicity in your relationship!

My husband has almost 30 years worth of recorded movies and TV shows. Yep. That's how long he's been recording stuff from television.

@ramapo17 - Oh yes. Some he re-watches. Some he records over shows because he found something else. Sometimes he finds a clearer picture and he will re-tape over the older picture. It's his hobby. We bought our first VCR in 1987 and the man went nuts! He's been crazy recording stuff ever since.

@cmoneyspinner We have the DVR right in our cable box and there are no limits that we can record, at least I don't think so. When we go away and come back we spend days watching everything. We have it set up to record the same shows everyday so we do not have to put them in the system again. The movies that are on every so often we record the actual date of it.
