In this post I will tell you about a friend of mine who has a girlfriend in New Zealand. They grew up in the same city and they were in love during the high school classes. After high school her parents decided to move to New Zealand for a better career.
Now their relationship are pretty strong even if they are separated by much distance.
Anyway I believe it's not about the distance, its all about the love in their heart.

Do you mean to say that you are in LDR with someone, other than your husband?

Distance just make the love grow stronger.

I don't find it very practical, a long distance relationship is very difficult to maintain.

In this case, both the persons knew each other since there school days and they might have good understanding between each other, so their relationship might work in the long run.

@Bodyandbrain Yes, you are very right that when one is in LDR, mistrust and sense of insecurity could spoil the relationship.

@dpk262006 yes understanding plays very important role in any relationship but for a romantic relationship many things can have important impact like trust, insecurity, expectations from each other...

It is great if both are still maintaining their relationship. I think one of them will have to shift to country/city of the other person, if they want to tie a knot.

@vin12345 If your friend is likely to shift to New Zealand, then it will be easier to maintain their relationship.

A long distance relationship is very difficult to maintain. Your friend is for sure lucky if this is working for him. I have known people being in long distance relationship but was unable to maintain the relationship. Seeing someone in front of you and interacting (face to face) is so different from interacting via telephone/skype

Probably yes I don't know coz I still don't have any such things happened in my life. But I do hear my friends talking about it, So yes its the love in their heart and not the distance.

I do think if it is meant to be, the relationship will survive.
