Have you ever lost a pet?

When I was around 6 years old, my father gave a very special gift. It was a puppy half breed mongrel dog. I had named her Apple. She was the best gift for a young kid to have. We were best buddies for about three years. It was a short time because I lost her. Someone got her when she went out from our gate. I felt so bad and tried to find her in despair. I failed for having a pet.
It was a long time before I decided to have pets after her. Now, I tried my best to take good care of my two dogs: “Putot” and “Chancho.”
“How about you, guys?”
“What’s the first name of your pet?”

@Shavkat If you are talking about pets while I was a kid. Yes I do. His name was tommy. He was very attached to one of my sisters. When she left home seeking greener pastures he followed her taxi and did not come back for 15 days.

@Shavkat When we woke up in the morning we find him lying on the floor and his body was stiff. The night before we gave him his normal pet food and he seemed fine. It is a mystery as to what happened during the night. At times we feel guilty about it.

@Shavkat I don't know if she was poisoned. they say that rabbits tend to hide their illness. What i am sad about is that maybe she was suffering since a long time back but we couldn't notice it. I can't believe that people can stoop so low and steal dogs. I am so sorry for your lost friend.

I really don't have any pets, but once we had a puppy(pamorian dog) which we named Danny. He was very cute and now he is owned by my dad's friend and has grown very big.

When I was 5 we had a German Shepherd named Jack that my mother had brought with her from her parents farm. Because Shepherds are prone to hip displaysia, at 18 years old he could hardly walk. Instead of my Dad taking him to a vet to be put to sleep, my Dad took him out in the country and shot him in the head. I have never forgiven my Father for that @Shavkat .

My first pet was a dog ,and I called her " Hua hua".
My parents and I loved her very much , she lived with us for over 5 years . In the year when I was 7 years old , she was stolen . We were very sad and the dog had been seen as one of our family members.

We often had cats in my childhood. We didn't keep them indoors because it was impossible to do so in a house. My cats could go out to have fun and then went back in the meal time. Sometimes they would come back when I called them. Unfortunately after the cats grew up, usually they got lost. I always doubted somebody stole them.

So sorry to hear that you lost your pet Apple. How devastating for a young child. I did have a black cat that just seemed to disappear one day and it broke my heart
