Here I was sitting in the afternoon, bit tired..suddenly found my self into memory lane. I had a arranged marriage and for this few prospective girls were chosen for me to select one. one of them was nurse at hospital........which was a profession I wanted my wife to be.. but as in here I mean it was a family affair and we all were taking decision....and all others except me were keen to have a teacher or housewife as they were thinking otherwise. so I met teacher first and she was good ..........best thing was she also liked me........we stopped searching ......for bride. what if you have a option such as mine .....what profession will you choose. In such a case when you dont have already decided to get married to someone special.

If I am going to choose, I will choose a person whom I loved the most. I think love is the most important to love somebody wholeheartedly. I am not against to a fixed marriage. If I am in this kind situation, I will choose a person who has the same brain waves of the mine.

@spaceseed I still have to follow my heart and let my brain choose. We have the freedom that needs to use wisely.

With a nurse as a wife, she might not be around much as she will be doing shift work, but then she can look after her family when one of the members is sick. With a teacher as a wife, you will be sure she knows how to teach her children, and also be home at the same time every day...but then she can be bossy a little bit as she gets used to do that to her students... But then it's up to your feeling for one of them. Just hope that you will find a right person as a bride. Congratulations

@spaceseed As long as you are happy with the one you choose then the next step is to learn how to love and live with each other. All the best..

Even I would have been happy if she were a teacher. My wife used to be a teacher but stopped teaching after marriage and never could do it after having kids.

I would like to choose personality instead of profession, which I have done in my life and I am so happy with my decision. Character, attitude, education are more important than profession.

that's also very important. Let me rephrase my question, "among many qualities you are seeking, your spouse's prfossion is one of criteria" then what will be your choice. or it doesn't matter at all.? if the person is unemployed? or in a profession you don't like say halwai

I see your point of view so yes profession does matter with other qualities, I mean I would like to choose a person from decent profession, he should not be a thief or hacker or something like that If I had loved an unemployed person with the qualities I prefer to have in my life partner I would have married to him and helped him to achieve in the area of profession.

Love of my life should have only one profession, and that is to love me, and just love me!!!! Kidding, I think the best thing is to be together in the same business, either the one that we own, or the one for which we work.

decent choice. Here I want to share my personal views about this........... she would ...............be your strongest competer as well. in this case slight rift in relations could arise. what do you think?

I guess my first choice might have been a farmer as I loved our farm and everything to do with it. But I've had a wonderful happy life and I'm very grateful for that.

I understand. but if you love a girl, who wants to work........suppose she wants to be a diver or mountaineer where life is at risk more than others.. will you have any issues?
