Another Site, NIUME Shuts Down This Week

Feeling sad so many sites shut down

I have just joined that site. I wrote three blogs , got many fans and viewers only to feel frustrated again when the site creators told they cannot anymore pay people and that they have to stop their operation There were so many reasons. Many felt devastated with this news. Most of the writers there are bloggers from Blogjob. Goodbye NIUME. You made people happy and earned some shortly. Where on earth could we find a very stable writing site that lasts for years this time? My friends told me they felt so devasted. The site creators advised the writers to get back their photos used as their blog images. Better NIUME bade goodbye to writers and state reasons why they cannot anymore pay the writers unlike Literacy Base, site owners just disappeared leaving the writers hanging and desperate. For me , 2017 is not a friendly year. Image credit to Pixabay

Most of the writing sites are just no unpredictable and I sometimes wonder whether there will ever be any stable site giving writers a bright future.

@waflay, It seems no powerful site this time that gives better pay and serves people for as long as they like.

Yes, at least the site told everyone that they will be closing. It should indeed be that way with the owners. Honest enough to tell the members that they will be closing. At least the members will know that it's time for them to stop writing there.

@cacay1 Zaza's plagiarized posts are all that you can see there now.

@SIMPLYD we really do not know whether LB shuts down soon or they are cleaning the site. I noticed that those spammers and plagiarists like Abilo and others no longer there,I hope it survives.

Well yes, its disappointing. I got one payout in December. Things were so different then. I started an action-thriller story series there and so far have written 19 parts! I will still finish the parts, as I cannot abdicate my story series. Still it will be disappointing if we do not get the money. At least Niume stopped payment, telling the reasons and did it with some sense. I think one way could be if some of us like minded individuals get together, we can create an honest and more sustainable paying website. Its tough as we live in different countries, but may be we can think of it.

It is nice of them to share the reason, though I do not understand why they cannot be profitable. The rate is already very low, and many people do not hit payout. The actual amount payout must be very low.

@cacay1 Yes, plus the minimum payout is $10. That makes it much tougher for those new writers to reach cashout.

@scheng1 yes, true, only viewers can let you earn, no viewers, no earning.

@scheng1, that is true, very low and writers can reach a payout basing from the number of viewers, no viewers, no earning.

@cacay1 I think here, they never promised something which was not sustainable. At times, earnings addition might seem to be slow, yet its better than some quick earnings and then no earnings at all.

@cacay1 I agree. Perhaps they need to ask some advice from the admin of mylot.

@Shavkat , It might be. It exists for many years now. Mylot might have smart statisticians and programmers. Other sites those closed sites do not have ample preparations for site's longevity and survival.

So sad about Niume! But at least they informed members there that they could not longer pay/operate, rather than waiting for nothing like in Literacybase!

@acelawrites , That is true there is no guaranteed writing site.I hope LB will survive and won't close. I noticed that those plagiarists like Abilo and others are gone. I hope the site Support would suddenly emerge and bring good news to all people there,

@cacay1 it is so saddening when sites that you put much effort and time close. But this is the reality; we can not be sure of the permanency of a writing site!
