I haven’t gone to my parents’ house since two weeks ago. Thus, I was happy to see this picture when I opened Facebook today. This was posted by my niece who is there for a vacation. These 4 children makes her so happy, especially that she is already one year married yet they don’t have a baby yet. These children actually lives in their houses within the compound, but they would always go to my parents house to play and chill. The two girls are my nieces and the two boys are my grandchildren by my two nephews. I was laughing because this is really where they go, when the heat is too much yet to play outside. It is at my gay nephew’s bedroom where there is air-conditioner. But when it is already late afternoon and the heat has subsided, they would be all at the lawn to play. Children are what makes the house noisy yet happy.

And when the house is quiet because they are in school, the silence is deafening and not that happy when they are home, right?

@SIMPLYD so correct. I remember the words of former senator Miriam Defensor Santiago "joyful noise"

Yes. In the afternoon, they are at the lawn, especially that it's summer. My parents' room is also airconditioned but they are napping. Unlike in my nephew's room, they are free to be there. ha ha ha

@hereandthere Yes, that is true. Though, they would also always go there to ask for Pringles from them. They always have foods to munch on at their bedroom. ha ha ha They also know where to go, when they want to eat those.

@SIMPLYD i'm sure they're aware not to go to the presidential suite while the seniors are napping. even if they're awake, it will get crowded with 4 of them and, at your parent's age, it's better to avoid accidents.

Whenever we see the children, simply just chilling out like that, we somehow feel restful. But once the are down on the receiving room or lawn, you should be alert also as to what they are up to.

@SIMPLYD kida are really hyperactive even if it is so hot. they sweat a lot, that is why we have to encourage them ti replace their fluid loss with water intake.

I absolutely agree. Our child is already a doctor and not with us but in Manila where she's on residency at the hospital that gave her scholarship, so we are just by ourselves. The house isn't as noisy when she was still a kid and I miss that.

Yes, the house will then be empty without them in the house. Your children will soon have lives of their own. By then, they might just be visiting you once in a while.

Thank you. I also felt so happy seeing their picture that I have to share it here. Actually when they are at play on the lawn, oh my they really are a riot. They truly enjoy each others' company Yes, we just let them enjoy. Our daughter had her happy childhood, with the fathers of the two boy grandkids whenever she is there for a vacation, when they were still kids too.

They enliven the house actually. If they aren't there in the air-conditioned room of my nephew, they are taking a dip in the inflatable pool placed in the backyard where it is shady. They are all so close to each other.

Indeed. Look at that little boy eating lollipop, he is so complacent. But when downstairs at the receiving room, oh my, he is running here and there. So hyperactive and naughty. So his mother is also resting whenever they are just there, chilling.

Reminds me a lot when my nephews and nieces were young. Unfortunately I was not the playful type. There was once at one time, they even wanted me to stay. But that was one time.

I remember when I was young and we spent time at our granny house. We used to go in the cellar during the hottest hours of the day. It was always cool there.

True! Though our bedroom even if isn't air-conditioned, is a cool place to be too. We just open a pair of screened windows and open the electric fan and we have a cool bedroom to sleep, surf the net, watch TV or listen to the component.

@rachz_kisses We have a cooler bedroom because it's on the ground floor, But the room above us on the second floor where my mother-in-law's bedroom is is a very hot bedroom and also the rest of the bedrooms upstairs. One bedroom occupied by mother-in-law's sister who came home from the US is air conditioned. She pays for the electricity for that.
