Lots of people complain about problems of eyes, necks and hands after using computers for a long time. Is that really for using computers or the reason is continuous sitting? Stomach disorder muscle sprain etc. also get added to the complications. I think daily exercise is a good solution to these. What do you feel about these?

Crores of people have this symptom. Immediately contact a doctor. This will otherwise grow. Initial treatment may cure you. Later surgery may be required.

I have noticed that there are many people who have had shoulder surgery. The right handed of the right shoulder and the left handed of the left one. Could it be the mouse?

Yes. it is happening these days.Because of wrong posture of sitting on chair and for long time sitting without body movement these problems are occurring these days. However, I think sooner a person takes medical advice more is the chance to avoid surgery.

It is a simple matter of excessive strain. Using a mouse constantly for hours will take a while to become accustomed to. As for eyestrain and neck discomfort, it would depend on monitor size and where it is situated.

Eye-straining can be controlled through exercise. Using mouse is dangerous, it leads to carpal tunnel disorder syndrome. See the graph from wikipedia attached here, you will know your chance to get the disease.

@prasanta That graph is meaningless because it was generated purely by numerical volume. It shows that Caucasians are more likely to suffer, whereas this is simply that more Caucasians own a computer.

I think eye strain and low back pain are the common problems for excessive use of a computer.

Correct. I have heard such complaints. Additionally, kidney gets pressurized for continued sitting. If the table is not of proper height then neck pain is very common. Proper selection of raiser laptop table is also necessary.

a lot of things contribute to computer problems, the height of your computer the chair. The way your hands are on the keyboard. If you sit in a dart light.I notice when i use the ipad at night it will give me a headache in the morning.Using the sylus pen causes issues.

Yes, Height of the chair and table matter. Also, the seat of the chair has to have good cushion, otherwise piles may get infection.Light source also should be adjusted to get easier view of the monitor.

Seeing tv, mobile, computer continuously for one hour affects my eyes very badly. It causes irritation, watery eyes, redness, headache. So I avoid seeing electronics continuously, i look around often, do eye exercises in between, drink plenty of water. All these have helped me deal with the problems well..

Eye exercise is very effective even otherwise. Also, there are Ayurvedic medicines that may be applied while sitting for long time in front of any electronic screen.

@prasanta is it safe for everyone. If so please share... let me try it.

Yes you are right. We should not sit in front of computer for more than 4 hours continuously, it will give us back pain and eye problems. Always be careful while using computer. You should Adjust the mouse besides the keyboard. Move your entire arm, while moving the mouse. Don’t just move your wrist by fixing it at one position. Typing should be gentle. Do not fix your wrists in a certain position while typing. Relax your arms or stretch when you are not typing or using the mouse.

Amphetamine is a potent central nervous system stimulant. Exciting nerves unnecessarily and artificially is not good. It has side effect.

@NoWeedNoFun May be! But how children are coming into picture? It is true for all, I think. The challenge is equally spread across all. It is not based on any demography. It is a global challenge, so we have to find out a global solution.

Do not complain about the computer. Physical problems are caused by bad habits. The computer is innocent. -_- #

I was just recently diagnosed with acute tendinitis not because I spend the majority of my days typing but because of the way my hands are situated when I'm typing, so no, I don't think it's just because of being at a computer. My brother used to be at his computer near constantly but he would also go to the gym every night, so he's fine. I'm sure that if I maintained a consistent daily exercise routine like you said, I would be fine.
