No Salsa And Thunder

Most know that I rescued Roscoe, a golden retriever that is high energy, from the old neighborhood three years ago. He learned to jump the fence so he is on a lead and I had to get him another dog house for the front, well I could not get the heavy old one to budge so I used an old card playing table and a huge trap with duct tape for a quick fix because while I was working in the veggie garden a huge black cloud came over. With Tony telling me what I already knew how to do I got him a temporary shelter made. I brought him back around to the front and he seen it and went right up inside, since he hates thunder. Today I collect a basket filled with tomatoes of all sizes and many sweet bell peppers. Since the heavy rained stopped me from working outside I came inside and I intended on making nacho chips with salsa and cheese, hamburger for Tony. Well, I did not have any salsa! I chopped an onion and one of the bell peppers I just picked, got out the diced garlic and a jar of last years home canned tomatoes, tossed in a couple more ingredients and let it cook a couple minutes, TA DA! I have salsa. Then I mashed an avocado and made guacamole. Since the rain was beating down hard on the dish there was no t.v. and we had an early dinner while I watched a new lake appear in the field. Happy me and happy dog.. How is your day going?
