travels with my panda

I don't actually have a panda, and even if I did I'm not sure that I would take it travelling.
However, I do have the beginnings of a headache and I am on the bus. For the rest of its existence I shall indulge this headache with the name Panda, because that is obviously what my subconscious has a need to do.
Panda is just ... about ... there. No, left a bit. Don't you see me pointing?
I am so exceptionally sleepy, counting down the days {three more, after today} until my longish summer holiday begins. Long lie-ins, lazy days, jobs to be done around the house and garden, books to be read, telly programmes to catch up with ... but, I still have to get through these Final Days.
Panda is still with me, enjoying his travels. He has settled himself around my left eye, hugging it so tightly and generally making his presence felt. Well, he's Panda. Panda is cute and loveable and funny. Who doesn't love Panda?
Me. I don't. He's making my eye itch.
Stupid Panda.

Oh, too cute to name it panda
Literally, we love panda.
We have bunch of panda stuffed toys at home and the biggest one was bought directly from China.
My kids are panda lovers.
Take care of yourself, let panda go away

@Poppylicious I am sorry, I also have a headache today, but I know it's due to the thunderstorms. We are having a very bad weather. At least is cool.

I don't even know where Panda came from. It just popped into my head, both figuratively and literally! He did go away, but now he has returned. *sad face*

Interesting... Naming your headache Panda. I guess to me I consider a Panda a Cute cuddly bear, so I could never call mine that, but I have had a really bad headache all day and wish mine would move on to someone else.

I didn't call my headache Panda. He called himself Panda. He is deceptive and cheeky.

Naming pain and giving it an identity is a technique I've used quite often (I don't actually name it but I do visualise it as a separate being). I have found that treating it as an uninvited guest is useful because accepting that the pain exists, being 'polite' to it and allowing it to stay for a while is a way of owning the pain and of coming to terms with it.
There is always some reason for pain's existence and allowing it to have an identity can help in understanding its underlying cause and dealing with it. Just taking a painkiller may stop the pain from being troublesome but it doesn't actually cure the thing that's causing the pain.

I don't think I have ever done it before. Or maybe I have without realising. I think this pain is probably due to exhaustion. Not tiredness, but pure exhaustion. I feel as if I'm running on empty.

@poppylicious And to think a truck load of cash is being invested in saving pandas from extinction - how very unthoughtful of the Save the Panda brigade.
