banning smoking scenes in movie does not makes any sense, rather i think it's a childish decision.if govt. really wants to do something they should impose ban on manufacture.

Well if it creates an image that is seen as *cool than yes but I think this is so small it can't be considered.

I have to agree, but if the government put a ban on the manufacturer that would surely create anarchy with all the smokers.

The human nature is really weird. No one can know how the human mind works. If these scenes are cut off I think pepole will try to find a way to reestablish them. It doesn't mean anything to see someone in a film sloking and automatically you want to do it to.

it certainly will...the number of youth and even little kids who idolise movie stars would take up to smoking is alarming...and by the time they realize later on in their life that it's too late ,then can do nothing about it then...

I reckon it sure will. There are a lot of pointers to the fact that juveniles are attracted to smoking after seeing their fav stars do the same on screen!!! And there is peer pressure!!!!! Yeah I agree with the idea of banning manufacture but it will not be feasible for the govt to do so as they generate huge revenues!!!So whats the solution? Bring out the adverse effects of smoking right from school. Get the boys to know the harm caused by smoking. That shud be a great beginning.
