Posting You Make $400 A Day And Still Get SSI

Come on people. I am all for disabled people getting SSI, but don't go posting on Facebook you're getting $400 at least a day in Sales on eBay or Amazon and still receiving assistance. It is a slap in the Face to people here or on Facebook, etc who are struggling and really disabled as well.
So this person is in a wheelchair. But why is SSI paying for her to make this type of money and for a chore person? If I was making that type of $$ everyday, I would gladly be wanting to pay more of my own stuff as then I would not be struggling like I am right now.
Too me, this is plain wrong and going to hurt those who really need the help when Medicaid and SSI gets cut. This is the reason I think the system got major flawed and why do they not check bank accounts etc anymore? I know for instance this person I am refering too has her $$ going to a bank account not with her name so our Lovely Taxes or those in CA are paying for her cheating in that way as well.
Seriously, I am all for working from home for some extra $$. But if you are making a living with it, leave the Goverment benefits to those who need them.

That is very wrong and it messes things up for the honest people-very unfair.

Unfortunately it is not fair, but many of them probably make more than most working people do, and there is nothing set in place to stop it. Have someone I know making this type of $$ telling me she has her Bank account in someone elses name so she can continue to get Free assistance since she is in a Wheelchair. Like how do they live with themselves?

@KrauseHome I wouldn't be able to sleep at night doing something like that-it's awful.

I agree that it is unfair. Yet, it seems to be happening more.

Main problem is if you say anything to Welfare, they come back with don't believe everything that is posted on Facebook. Like really? Even if you know someone is really telling the Truth? Just floored me when someone said that.

Makes me wonder how they can even live with themselves conscience wise.

@KrauseHome I also can't understand why people do this. They are cheating themselves, too.

Yes, and people wonder why the Government is broke? When they are paying for all the Scammer especially those on SSI it is no wonder. But the Big thing is many of them getting Free Medical and Food stamps, you say something to Welfare, and have someone say you can say anything on Facebook but that does not mean it is the Truth.

I don't believe she is really making that much money daily. People say that all the time. It's usually a scam.

I have seen proof of this person making this type of money, and this is way over what SSI allows, but she has told everyone she has an act not in her name for her earnings to go too so that she can continue to get SSI. So then people like me suffer and that is OK

@KrauseHome It seems unfair, and I don't think it is wise of her to brag about it. Someone could get jealous and report her.

Yes, and then there are people like me, who have a husband who works, and I have really high Medical issues and expenses, and being told even though we're buying our home, etc we make too much money. My husband only makes $12 an hr and I get $1000 a month from SS. Makes no real sense.

This person shouldn't be surprised if they receive a visit from the Social Security Administration and the IRS (the real IRS, not those phone scammers). Sounds like hiding income....

Would be nice if SS, Welfare administration, IRS etc could magically appear at some of these doorsteps. Might open more $$ for people who really need it.

Truly it is, and then if you tell the real Truth like for me as having a husband only making $12 an hr and being told we make too much makes you really wonder why when you tell the Truth you get penalized for all the ones lying to them. Welfare even had the audisity to say don't believe everything posted on Facebook. Like really? You Love giving all the Tax payer $$ to the scammers?

Well, since Welfare says we are supposed to not believe anything you read on Facebook, I guess this is the reason people do it knowing no one will care, or look into it more.

@KrauseHome it sounds like you are on this persons friend list in order to see this post? I personally would do nothing.. yes, it is wrong, but it will catch up to them in the long run. As hard as it is for you to not get involved, I would just ignore it.

That is cheating for sure and those persons should be paying taxes and leave the SSI for those who are really in need.

Yes, that is True. And these are also the same ones getting Free Obama Care, food stamps, etc while people who really need the extra help are being turned away.

Would be nice. Back about 17 yrs ago or so they used to have a better system to keep track of people and do more reviews, etc. but now they are too busy turning away people who could really use some help to catch anyone who is scamming them.
