I just love the song - do you know how far back this song dates? I know it as "CUPS" but its original title has changed a few times. Well it dates to the early 1900 and I am sure that its first purpose was that of "bereavement Gospel" However you might like to tell me a little more of your own ideas on the beautiful lyrics in the song. I first heard it in the Movie "Pitch Perfect" and recently It showed up as the Theme song for the British series "MUM" Lulu and the Lampshades made their rendition famous under the title "youre gonna miss me " My favourite is the one made by Anna Kendrick and the stanza that stands out the most: "I've got my ticket for the long way 'round The one with the prettiest view It's got mountains, it's got rivers It's got woods that give you shivers But it sure would be prettier with you" Happy Saturday - I am off to Bowling with this special ear-worm wiggling all the way in my head.
