Gone for a Year and Still Earning

Surprises never stop to amaze me, especially here on MyLot. I have been away for almost a year and I stopped by today. I was amazed to see the nice sum of money in my account.
Everyone knows on MyLot your discussions still earn money long after they are written. Personally I never thought that people would go back over a year to read my discussion and respond to them. Even today I saw someone respond to a discussion that is over a year old.
There are so many new discussions on the site daily I didn’t think anyone had the time to search through all the old discussion and respond to them.
Lucky me I guess that I hit pay dirt today when I came to this site. Have fun and remember to interact with everyone. It pays off in the end.

If you did not delete your posts and you tagged them, you should earn some over time.

@marguicha I build websites and know how import tagging is. I guess that is what makes my post interesting and still showing up on the site.

I get comments on my old discussions quite a bit. I think newbies find them and respond. Also, I have commented on the YOU MIGHT ALSO LIKE ones in the right hand column on occasion too. So, it is a great site to keep earning on.

@celticeagle Yes this one is hard to do at time. You have to see how they are before adding them. I like to read interesting discussions.

@LeaPea2417 Anyhow, it is nice to see the old people and read a few posts today. I will see if I have a few minutes to spare in the next day or so and come back again. Until then have fun and will try and stop by again soon.

Thank you so much. Not a lot of time these days to sit on a computer and answer posts or comments. I always figured if I was to work on this site I needed the time to respond to people. Therefore, I have been off the site for a long time because so much is happening here that I would rather do other things right now.

I am glad for you. I bet it was a surprise when you saw you had a nice sum and people were still interested in what you had to say. Are you staying this time or going away again and coming back to check?

Right now I am rather busy. We have a very large organic garden we started in January. The garden is doing great and people are coming from around the island buying food. Plus I own my own business and I have many clients who depend on me. For right now I work in the morning at the garden, arrive home in the early afternoon and start working for my clients. This takes up a lot of my time. Plus there are still some of my online clients who send me request for artices about data recovery and other technical things. I still write for them too. So to tell you the truth this all depends on how busy I am and if I can come here now and then to spend a little time.

Yes that is a nice thing if you still earn money here when you are not active. It is nicer how it seems to add up even faster the more active you are in here. I love being able to interact with so many diverse type of people here.

That is great you still earned enough after being gone a year. I noticed when I'm oflline a few days I come back and still earned even when I didn't do anything. Glad you to see you stopped in and hope to hear more from you soon.

Yes it was fun to stop in today. Maybe I will have a bit of free time now and then to visit again. Not sure how much time I can spend on here. Will see what happens in the near future.

I get a lot of suggested posts on the side that are several months to a year old. That's great that people are still commenting on your posts, and you earn money without even trying! 
I haven't been so lucky with my absences, but then I don't post very much. I come here to have fun, so it serves that purpose.

That is how this site works. If you tag your posts and they are interesting, they will appear in the sidebar next to other related posts. So choose your tags carefully and you can still earn on your older posts.

@MALUSE I never said it was. I just basically stated it surprised me that some of mine ended up there. It is all done on tags and how you tag your posts that get you on that side of the page. I knew this a long time ago because I build websites and tags are the most important part in search engines and how people find your work. So the person's tag on their post matched mine and they put them up on the side of the page as related posts to the one that they were reading. I understand this is no great honor to have this done it is basically how the system associates your tags with the post tags that are new.

Yes I have noticed this and I was just surprised that some of mine made it to the site of the screen and people actually read them. It is good that they do this and it makes it nice if you have missed reading a few things here.

Tag all of your posts and they will show up with other post that have similar tags on them. That is how you can keep on earning when you are away from this site.
