I Hate Ironing!

I avoid ironing if at all possible, especially during the hot season. Unfortunately, the clothes that are most comfortable in the hot and humid seasons are pure cotton and generally look pretty bad if not ironed. While I'm on vacation I have not done any ironing, because I can wear T-shirts. But now that I have to look like a teacher soon, I will need to get out that iron and make some things look nice and crisp. I confess, I just hung up a culotte skirt which is one of my favorites and is thick cotton and linen, and very wrinkled. I put some water on it and hope that the wrinkles will hang out. Do you have to iron, or like to? Some people enjoy it, I know. They can come to my house and iron my clothes for fun if they like.

There is an iron vendor near our home, we give out washed clothes to him for ironing. PS - I would like to mention here that I started a discussion on the same subject sometime ago:
When we move out from out home for going to our work place, to visit someone or for going to a public place, we try to dress immaculately. When I go to my work...

I have an iron, but do not iron . . . only when we do certain crafts. The kids and I don't wear clothes that require ironing, but Hubby does. We found that if we put his clothes in the dryer on light cycle for maybe about 10-15 minutes when it's partially dry, we take it out and hang it up on a hanger immediately to dry the rest on its own. It doesn't seem to wrinkle that way and we can get away with not ironing .

@petatonicsca Ah, and I am not sure how to deal with that during very humid days. When my parents last visited Japan, my mom had washed something at my baachan's house and it didn't dry for days, she said. Too humid.

I am one of those person who like ironing. I am allergic to synthetic fabrics, so I wear everything in cotton and linen and I do not like to have them wrinkled. One of my friend, who was a hostess, said that she sprayed the clothes with a little water, hang in the bathroom while she was showering and let there overnight, the wrinkles disappeared, at most she used the hair dryer to remove the few left, a little water and the hair dryer.

I don't mind ironing while there isn't a huge pile of it. I don't iron much nowadays that's for sure.
