Hot Days of August

Today was so hot. It almost makes me wish fall would hurry and get here. Much as I enjoy summer and always dread winter the heat is getting to me. When going for my walk I was drenched in sweat before I'd ventured far. I Walked about half way and turned back. I've decided I'll walk on the treadmill at the workout room until the weather changes or go to the park early in the morning. How are you doing with your exercise during these hot days?

I'm sorry it's gotten so hot there. Exercise is on hold for the rest of the week So no pool for me until after my infusion on Thursday. It seems the medication stopped working days short of the new dose, and I have a major flareup that's keeping me from the pool.

@RubyHawk Yes I do. I'll be back on Monday. I called the doctor's office about it, so hopefully the dosage will be a little higher tomorrow. My body hates medication and I really hope it's not starting to throw this one off completely. It will be back to square one in finding something that works if it is.

@just4him Maybe he will have a better idea about how much medication to prescribe. I hope so. Just hang in there.

I'm sorry. I wonder why the infusion stopped working. I hope the doctor gets the correct dosage worked out. Sorry you can't go to the pool. I know you enjoy it.

I mean...I do really envy those who live in high latitudes...I've never been through the fall for over 3 days....Usually only summer and winter could we go through all year around....The spring and fall may just have few days.. Your guys maybe don't believe that in early October... We usually wear T-shirts and shorts...Today, August 19th is the seventh day that the temperature is above 89º Fahrenheit...And today is above 96º Fahrenheit.... I'm still alive...

Just winter and summer would be strange. We do have in between weather in spring and fall. You must have about six months and six months of cold.

It has been cool here the last couple days. Makes it hard to do much when it is so hot. I will be glad when fall hits.

@RubyHawk .....I wish we could say that hear. I think it has been as dry and hot as most years. A journal would be good.

@celticeagle I think so, we could see how the seasons vary from year to year.

I always hate to see fall because winter is close behind but I'm almost looking forward to fall this year. We've had a lot cooler days this summer than last summer. We've had more rain, but I forget from year to year. I wish I had kept a journal so I could actually see what the weather was in years past.

I know that's true, we've been to Florida a few times and it was like a baking oven.

There is always some reason why I can´t walk these days. I am so mad at myself for this but it can´t be helped with what is going on. Oh yes the heat gets to me too when I walk. But it is always cool enough to walk in the mornings.

I don't know why it's so hard for me to walk in the morning, but I like to get everything else done before I walk and come home to a clean house. I'll have to change that.

Your temperature is about right. I could enjoy that. Then you don't use much AC.

Here it is the same. It is very hot here. If possible, I will choose to swim in the swimming pool in such a weather. Since it is the only one exercise which will not make us sweat and we feel comfortable to it. I heard that the typhoon is coming and that means to say the weather may be cooler a little soon. Normally the typhoon will not have a big effect on my city. It is just a little windy and that's fine.

@RubyHawk Last night a big tree was blown. It rained hardly last night. But actually it didn't affect me since I was already home. Today it is just a little windy and nothing serioius yet.

I hope the typhoon won't damage your city.We have tornados and they cause lots of damage. We're lucky not to have been in the middle of one. A few years ago a tornado completely destroyed a town above us and blew down acres of trees. Swimming is nice in hot weather.

@RubyHawk It was quite cool here today, probably didn't get above 65. I didn't go out much, except to walk my dog. Kobe panted like it was 110 degrees in the shade, as he usually does:( Once we got back home, he took an afternoon nap, to get refreshed. This summer has spoiled me, because I can't take the intense heat, as before!

@RubyHawk I'm the same way, before it wasn't as hard to endure the hot, muggy summer weather. Now, I'm definitely loving this cooler climate, we had about five hot days, total this year!

I can't take the heat like I used to. If I get too hot I get sick. I used to work in my garden in the heat and it didn't bother me one bit. If I tried that now I'd probably collapse.

That's exactly what I must do or go to the workout room and the treadmill is so boring, I'd rather walk under the trees.

I prefer to do exercise indoors, although I miss jogging outside. But I try to make up for that by taking long walks in the evening, when it's no longer stifling, but only warm.

Just when I said I'd walk inside until the weather cools, our workout room closed down for updates. But it will reopen soon.
