I have a long hair, and my husband love to join organizations when he opened me up regarding hair donations, I read the guidelines since I have a natural straight hair and I dont do any hair colors so I can donate it, but it needs to be 12 inches long, but my hair is just 9 so I need 3 inches more. That will be 3 mos from now and it could be December, Im enjoying to take care of my hair now because I know that one of cancer patient will received it on Christmas as a gift, Through my hair someone will feel the Spirit of Christmas, which is giving and sharing Love on Christmas day.

I hope you will extend the hair more than 12 inches. Are you planning to have a very short hairdo?

That's really nice. I have a friend who decided to do that project with her daughter. It's called Locks of Love.

That is very kind of you. I cut my hair on my honeymoon years ago and donated to lock of love. It was so long they would be able to make two wigs out of it.

@Llorakay yes but years later I sold it as a joke on eBay and it actually sold twice for about $80

@Llorakay That is very nice of you to want to donate your hair to cancer patients and that is a nice gift for someone. I wish I could donate my hair but mine is short and I do color it.

I have a long hair but I cannot donate it. I have a very thin hair strand and I also colored my hair. I think no chance for me. But what we can do is to visit them and give them something for Christmas. Our organization does that every Christmas.

Yes, I have heard a lot here regarding Locks of Love, or donating hair due to Cancer, etc. Because of my health issues now, there is no way mine would ever be capable of donating even if I wanted too.

Thank you very much! Although I did not mind being bald when I was on chemo and I used scarves, I know that there are some people who need real hair!

That's great, so nice. I have considered doing that too but I think my hair won't qualify. I think it might be too damaged :/
