It is 6pm, time to cook dinner now. Wearing apron now, getting ready eggplants, mushrooms, potatoes, garlic and onions for cooking the main course meal.
I think i am going to divide them into two meals for today plus cooked brown rice.
What are you having for dinner~?

I do that sometimes. I cool a feast for my family and then prepare just a bowl of oatmeal for myself.

does cooking brown rice in a rice cooker take longer than white rice?

@peachpurple i thought you have to soak the brown rice first.
with white rice, we follow 1:2, so 1 cup rice, 2 cups water

Nope, I use the same timing for both white rice and brown rce. The only difference is the water. If 1.5 cup of brown rice, you need to add 3 cups of water. ( Normally, 1 .5 cup of white rice is 1.5 cups of water ). Just double up the water because when the rice cooker cooks, the rice absorbs lots of water, really a lot
