Recyled

Today I made a DIY house for my cat. I got the idea from an image I saw in the net of a cat inside a DIY tent house. It is made of steel hangers as base but I don't have one so I decided to make use of the box I got from the supermarket and my old round neck shirt. Didn't even took me 5 minutes to finish the house as it is really just simple :) All I did was to put the box inside the shirt, tie a knot at the back and pin the arm holes to the sides. I made a hole in the box thru the shirt's neck and that's it; instant cat house for my friend. It may not look a lot, but my cat loves it hehehe :) She immediately went inside and slept.
I'm happy to recycle the box and the old shirt into something useful.
Photo used is mine

That's nice :) I really wanted a tent but I don't have a hanger so I made do with the box. My kitty is 9 months old.

@hereandthere She's really not that big, perhaps the angle of the photo made her look bigger than she actually is. I had her just this April, 3 months old.

She's had a lot of box already. Yes its easy to do. Wouldn't take time and your cat will thank you for it.

@pitsipeahie We can also save the Mother Earth, too. I think she was settled comfortably in her box with the kittens.

eli, it is interesting that cats find many places where they want to plop themselves down to sleep or take a nice nap.

yes, try it :) search the net for DIY cat houses and you'll be delighted to see a lot more, especially the "tent style" it looks way better than a box. If you have steel hangers you can do it or if you could think of any material to use as base that'll be good too. Hope to see you post your cat house too if you'll make one. Your cats will love it for sure. My cat would occasionally sleep on top of the box too.

I've seen a lot of recycled houses on youtube. They're very interesting and look very easy to make too. Glad you were able to make one for your cat.
