i think this will be pretty interesting discussion,at least i wish so.
while i was driving i prefer house music or electro music.it really motivates me while i was driving..and i feel like i am jason stathom(at transporter) sometimes.lol.
but while i was studying or working,i prefer jazz music and sometimes classical music.
i think while you were working ,listening music decrease your tiredness!
what do you think about this?
what kind of music do you listen while you are driving or working?

I beg to disagree. Sometimes I got more lazy when I am listening to music.... Hehehehe.... But if I really want to fight my boredom at work or at home I listen to alternative rock.

I never listen to music while working. But often listen to music while driving--mostly instrumentals, these days.Of course, one has to be careful not to be distracted by the music while driving.

@japanesesamurai Me too, because being a musician I am always thinking, "Ooo, nice clarinet line. Ouch, that was a bit flat. Cool chord, what was it again?"

I have about 8,600 songs on my iPod. Usually I will keep it on the “My Top Rated” playlist, wish is a little over a thousand songs (a mixture of everything from the Platters and Frank Sinatra to the Delmore Brothers to Hank [Snow, Thompson, Locklin, Penny, Garland, and Williams] to the Clash).

@japanesesamurai — Hank Garland wasn’t a singer, he was a highly-regarded guitar player in the “golden age” of country music. He wrote the song “Sugarfoot Rag,” which became a staple in country music.
Here’s a clip of him playing Sugarfoot Rag, introduced by Faron Young:

I listen to my students making music during my work time! (I teach music.) Relaxing, I prefer no music because I am doing music all day long, from kindergarten to high school level.
