I buy new flowering plants in my garden because we don't have much flowering plants in our garden. I like this yellow gumamela with red in the center. Gumamela are usually red or pink but I like this gumamela. It has unusual color. They have the size of a small plate and they bloom a lot of flowers now. It makes me feel happy seeing my plants are alive and flowering.

We call hibiscus bunga raya here in my country. One of my favorite flowers, my mother used to have red ones in her garden.

You are right. Yellow gumamela is unusual. Here normally it is red and it is also a common plant here. When I was a child, we liked to use it to make the lantern.
