I have been dealing with a Migraine on and off since Sunday. Yesterday is was not that Bad, now today on and off it has been miserable. Went and laid down for about an hr and now I am really nauseated. I might have to go and lay down again and see if I feel any better. Have taken Ibuprophen and getting ready to resort to something stronger and seeing if it helps, but waiting for the nausea to calm down.''
I just got thru eating something salty to see if that would help. Been drinking Mountain Dew but that is not working as well as it should. Might end up going back and laying down again after I try eating something and seeing if that helps first.
Hope your night is going well.

That is the worst. I had a migraine that lasted for about 2 weeks and everyday I would get an ice pack and it would sooth it for a while and then thankfully it just vanished.

I've never heard of eating something salty as a remedy. I hope your headache is gone now. They can be brutal and since yours was causing nausea I'm sure it was a doozy!

Depending on where the migraine is located: base of skull, temples, forehead; use a very hot, wet washcloth; press against area and keep repeating process for 5 minutes. Migraines are caused by restricted blood flow so using the hot, wet cloth opens up the veins. Also taking Fish Oil Capsules can help; especially if you get Aural Migraines (sparks and lightning flashes in the eyes).

I get migraines sometimes but thankfully don't normally get nausea with them. Ginger works well with other forms of nausea, so it should work with migraine nausea. Try some ginger ale, or some lemon and ginger tea.
