Most homes here in India have tiled or mosaic tiles floors. I rarely see any wooden or carpeted floor. Tiled floors are easy to maintain as the dust and dirt levels here are very high. What kind of floor do you have at home?

Lynn Fowler @dgobucks226 that statistic surprises me, but again, because I am in a country town the rates are much less than they are in the city. Some people here don't even bother locking their doors!

Lynn Fowler 8 degrees is cold for us, too, but not the coldest it gets. I'm in Victoria (south of Sydney) and the last few nights our overnight minimum has been below freezing.
