Do you think a picture makes a discussion more appealing?

I haven't very often used pictures in my discussions as when I am going through topics to answer I tend to be more interested in the title but some of the pictures used by other members are very attractive. Do you use pictures in your discussions and do you think you get more responses if you use them or does it make no difference?

In some way, it is. But then, I just like having some photos of my discussions.

Yep that also increase engagement or more information about the topic since there’s a picture

When I have time, I try to find a good picture, as for myself, I find that I am more interested to check the post if there is a picture.

@marlina I tend to go for the title more than a picture although I have noticed that there are some beautiful pictures attached to some of the discussions,

@sprite1950 Don't get me wrong, I check the title and it has to interest me. But I find that a good picture makes it more attractive.

@m_audrey6788 Yes I hadn't thought of that. If English isn't a member's first language, the picture might help to clarify what you are discussing.

I don't think it makes a difference, but I love adding a photo to all my discussions. As an artist I enjoy the visual as well as the words.

I always use pictures because I think they make an important point about what I'm trying to say. I don't think it matters as to the number of responses as people look at the theme.

I think so... but as for me I am more interested on the tile... its a hint whether I can interact or not to a certain post, because I can't relate much in some of the post because I am clueless on the topic or I am not really on those stuff.

I find it difficult to post photos here. They always seem to be the wrong size and the discussion posts without the picture. Some days, it is not worth the struggle.

@sprite1950 I know they don't post when they are too big. All the photos on my phone are the same size. Some of them work and others don't.

I've found that a related photo will entice more people to look at your discussion. Now a photo with a cat or a dog, always seems to generate more interest. Why? Who knows? I suit myself.

I rarely use a photo in my discussions. I don't want to bother with finding an appropriate image to use. A great image can attract people to the discussion but I don't think that it will make the discussion better or necessarily increase interaction on it. And I don't want people to just comment on how great my photo is without actually discussing anything else.

@lovebuglena Yes there is that. I think whether I use one or not depends on how much time I have to find an appropriate image. I don't want people just to comment on the image.

@sprite1950 That wouldn't be a good thing, especially if comments were generic and repetitive.

It's like addition bonus to discussion but the quality of content is what matters for a discussion.if the topic we chose is sharing our arts or photography something like that then picture is very important for responses .
