Acceptance is the greatest form of love

I used to read such medical cases way back then. I used to see them around, but never had the chance to mingle and be with them. Last March 21, 2018 I was able to understand more and appreciate most their condition. Based on readings, Autism is a disorder of neural development characterized by impaired social interaction and communication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior. Most people interacting with other people comes naturally, it can be confusing and sometimes frustrating for those who are autistic. Let's take for example, some jokes and the tone of voice can be misinterpreted. Therefore, let's be more sensitive, listen to what is less expressed in words, hear them out. I believe in such case, acceptance comes first, and understanding follows. We need to remember that there is currently no cure, that autism is a condition and if properly addressed, there are services and support groups willing to extend their hand to help such cases and their families. Salute to all staff and volunteers headed by the founder of Little Designers Foundation, Ms. Belle Adeline who generously took time from their busy schedules to organize such event, and bring awareness, joy and love to these kids. Hats off to all parents for their unselfish love, and unconditional attention they shower to these kids. Such event was an eye opener, I realized more that beyond books, and definitions...Autism should be accepted as difference and not treated as disorder.

Some things are hard to deal with but you just do. Love for sure is the key.

Acceptance is key to understanding. I have a nephew with Autism, another nephew with Downs Syndrome and my daughter has ADHD. :-)

Autism should be accepted. Period. As many other differences that people have.

Autism is more complicated than people first though because usually autists don't have any physical problem but their social skills are very limited. I have a cousin who is autistic.
