We all know our names have a history of how our parents give it to us, Do you still remember? As far as I know, my mom got my name from one of the disciples of God, How about you? Do you still remember?

Of course! My dad especially. Until now I am still wondering how he came up with 3 names for each of my siblings and me. One came from my dad’s name and the other two names came from the foundress of my school.

Haven't you feel upset to have long name that can't fit to the paper when they asked you to put your name

@tech40 oh yes I did! I used to write just one of my names and my dad was like you have to write your whole name for documentary purposes and I was around 8 to 9 years. Like really?!? Hahaha

Yes, I do remember. A friend of their suggested Dominique as a name, and they liked it so much that they picked it. And my middle name is from the friend who suggested the name. So, I'm kind of named after the friend.

They were watching a movie with pirates in it, one of those pirates was Captain Morgan. My father liked the name, and I was named after a pirate. Odd that I don't like stealing though! XD

That is an interesting question. I was named after my grandmother on my father's side. While I was pregnant with my daughter, my partner and I couldn't agree on a name. We knew we were having a girl. One night we were watching the first Lethal Weapon movie on television and Danny Glovers character had a daughter named Rhiann. When I first heard it, my eyes lit up and something went off in my head. "THAT'S IT!" I yelled at my partner. "That's what we are naming her!" He agreed and we had named our daughter Rheanne. :-)

I'm not really sure but I know that I have a namesake born on the same day as me because my mother was in hospital with a lady who had just had a little girl and asked my mum what she was calling me. She told her Linda Suzanne and the woman said she liked the names so much she would call her baby the same.

My mom picked my name and then at the last minute, Dad over-ruled her and decided that I should be named after my mother. My middle name was then chosen after his sister. Funny now names are handed down one generation after another!
