Reason behind my username "iamnotyourdoctor"

Hi! You guys must be wondering (even if you are, I'm still gonna pretend that you are, haha!) why I chose this username. So here I am gonna explain the reason behind it. Actually I am a fourth-year MBBS student. A STUDENT. However some people (especially relatives) fail to notice the fact that I am still just a student and not actually a doctor. They keep asking for their acne and cold problems and I don't really appreciate it. So I always say I am not yet a doctor (which they ignore mostly). Hope it was not just a sob story. So what's the story behind your username if it's not your actual birth name? Share people. Edit: People has been asking me for their ailments since my 1st year. So it's not like as I'll be graduating in a year and half, I'm almost a doctor. It's because people think if we get into med college we can treat anything right from the start.

People will ask you about their medical problems forever, even when you are not working. It's the price of being in the medical profession. I chose asfarasiknow as my username to show that I could be wrong about some things.

My username is me an Oahuwriter writer. I actually live on Oahu in Hawaii. I've published some e-books. Maybe, you should build your patient's list when people ask you for diagnosis... like when I become a Doctor I'd be glad to treat you, until then be sure to see your current doctor...or something like it... your patient list will be big by the time you graduate.

Hahaha that's actually a nice suggestion but they ask us because they expect to be treated for free. They don't have to pay a student, they think, which is justifiable.

@iamnotyourdoctor Ahh...now you can add, maybe, students are in need of funds too, how would they like to contribute to student funds? Now forgive my ignorance about being a student doctor...if I have said the wrong thing. At least since I believe this bothers you, maybe it will have given food for thought..do and say what is best for you to be happy.

When I was little I was a Sprite in the Brownies and after that I was called that as a nickname. 1950 is my year of birth. I use this name on most sites although if I feel that I would like to be different I will use another one.

A fourth year MBBS student is as good as a doctor. They are called junior doctors in our state. It's the last year you have to be through.Isn't it?

I know what you mean. I am a Doctor, but my doctorate is in ministry, not in medicine. Sometimes people don't understand that.

There's no story behind my username but I do feel you. In fact, even though I'm not a medical doctor, nor a medial student, sometimes people would address me as DOC, and it just happened about a few minutes ago. Why? Because sometimes people mistook me as my sister. Even though me and my sister don't look similarly at all, face shape is different, skin tone is different, eyes, nose, lips...no similarity; people would sometimes confuse me as her. So I get annoyed by that as well. And she's already a doctor.

Well, friends and family expect that since you are already in your fourth year, you would be able to advise them about simple ailments at least. That is something medical students, doctors and nurses face - people , even total strangers will be asking their advice even when they are not on the job. My username is a mix of my real name - and it means - glowing.
