Welcome to myLot. I think that you'll find it a very friendly place and, of course, as with most things, the more that you put in, the more you will get out of it.
You will find it very helpful to read the pages listed under "Help" in the menu beneath your username at top left. The Community Guidelines cover the few things which you should avoid doing, the Frequently Asked Questions page gives the answers to most of the questions people ask (and expands on the Guidelines) and the Earnings Program FAQs will tell you all that you need to know about how earnings work and how they are paid.
