“Are you AFRAID to DIE?” If I am going to…

…answer this question, I will definitely say that I am not afraid to die. I had noticed that most of the discussions posted are about the death of their loved ones. I don't have a low opinion in sharing such sentiments about death. In fact, when my father died three years ago, I had seen how he struggled and had his last breath. At first, I am in a feeling of big fear to lose him. I think it is normal to undergo such feeling. In the end, the beauty of death comes along with the moment of acceptance. Thus, I am not afraid to die. “How about you, guys?” “Are you afraid to die?” Image Credit: Shavkat

I am afraid to die but I would want to die like my grandma. That is the way I want to die because I do not want anyone to cry for me.

How did your granny die? If I may ask. I also wanted to die peacefully and not to feel hurt before closing my eyes.

@mlgen1037 I hope that you can dream about her. In fact, I randomly dream about my late father. I think he is still looking after us. I assumed he is not at peace because of what his siblings doing to us.

@Shavkat She didnt suffer much. She just had a headached that is all but no major diseases. I still miss her and writing that made me think of her. She would show herself to me thru my dreams and tell me that she misses us too as if she was alive. But you are right, she is in good hands and so is your dad. They are the ones watching us from above.

I do like the positivity. I wanted to do all good things in life before having my last breath. But then, I don't want to reach my granny's age at present. She is 99 and turning 100 in June this year.

I don't like to die yet. I still have to see a lot of things and experience some stages in my life. As to my bedridden father who has a liver cancer, I am ready to lose him if it means liberating him completely from his pains relative to his cancer.

No, I am not afraid to die, I am afraid at the idea to become so sick not to enjoy life anymore. In this case I think it's a lot better to die.

I also think that if I die, I don't need to suffer. It is not the gradual way of dying. It should be peacefully and not suffer.

@LadyDuck I agree. I had seen some patients who are in the convalescent stage. They had suffered in weeks before meeting our creator.

For me its the way in which you can die that does not compute with me. I am not afraid to die in itself but the way in which you can say of terrible illnesses yes in a way.

I am not afraid to die. But I am more concerned of my kids if and when I die so I am praying that the Lord give me more time with them.

I do think that most parents will think this concern. I remembered how desperate my late father wished that he can still live longer. He simply wanted to see his granddaughter to grow.

@Shavkat oh yes that is for sure. This is mostly the concern of parents. Even we are all ready to die, seeing our kids to do good in their future will always be our set back.

Indeed, my friend. If we think it is not time to die, then we need to live the fullest. Moreover, we cannot control this if God decided to end our life.
