Yesterday sure a was crazy day at my house when it came to the pets. They were just awful. The only one that was not annoying anyone was the hermit crab alone in his cage
The parrots both were screaming for attention and when I tried to get one the other one climbed up my back. So I had a parrot on each shoulder. That wouldn't be so bad but then they got fighting with each other. I put my hand up to stop them and they both bit me. The larger parrot has NEVER bit me before.
Then they would not get off me and go back on their cages. Their screeches are ear piercing and my daughter was trying to finish up a homework project. I fed them and they just would not calm down so I took their cages up and put them in my room where they could scream all they wanted and not damage our hearing.
The cat decided not to eat her food last night so since she still had a full bowl I left it there for her to eat. She sat there for hours in front of the door waiting for fresh food even though her food was perfectly fine.
This annoyed the puppy who kept running up and trying to nip at her which caused her to get hissed and swatted at. This last for hours lol. Finally the cat went in the back room and stayed there. I went to look and saw she had thrown up out there . Anytime she gets to hungry she vomits. So I dumped her perfectly fine food out and gave her fresh which she then ate the brat.
As I was texting my boyfriend saying how awful all the pets were being he walked in the door with his dog and his son. The boys played video games and the dogs played. Things calmed down after that thankfully.
The photo isn't as nice as I wanted but you can see the mama robin (that I've been mentioning lately) outside in her nest

your family is like mine . when the kids were all at home growing up, we had every kind of pet nearly. and of course i was the carer of them. when my youngest 4 yrs old went to hospital to find out what he was allergic to, and i told them about all our many pets, he laughed and said that it's going to be a hard diagnosis because we had a managerie

They say kids who grow up around animals are less likely to be allergic to them then ones who aren’t around animals until later on. We had two cats, a parakeet, a dog and a bunny when my daughter was a baby. Then three cats when my son was born. Thankfully none of us have any allergies to animals. My sister, father and two of her kids are allergic to dogs though

How many horses do you have? They are a lot of care and I wouldn’t even know where to begin but they a beautiful amazing animal! Today was better it was a gorgeous 77°F day so I put the parrots out on the porch for a few hours and the puppy and I walked around our property many times today. We are both tuckered out now!

Oh boy! I'm so glad we only have one pet.
Though our cat will sometimes not eat his food either, until he gets fresh.
But we also trick him by moving his food in his bowl around, and giving it a little water to wet it.

@Courtlynn I debated on wetting hers and warming it up like I do with the puppies dinner. I don't recall her being picky like this before she must just have been in a bad mood.

You never know about those crazy pets. Right now, cat has stolen my favorite chair, and is refusing to move.! You would think he pays the bills around here..

Will the parrots go to sleep if you put a blanket over their cages? I know how loud they can be. Their shrill voices are deafening. The bird on the nest is so pretty.

@shaggin Yikes! I should have figured, those birds are very smart. I hope that the earplugs work out well for you.

@JudyEv it's pretty hard to deal with. The winter was good but it's hit mating season again and the big parrot is screeching again constantly. The little one hasn't reached maturity yet but her screams are shrill and there doesn't seem to be a reason for them.

@BarBaraPrz I joke about that a lot. I keep saying a goat or monkey is next. Of course what I have is enough though maybe too much with the parrots.

@louievill yep you are exactly right. Even on their worst days I still love them. At 15 my cat especially is entitled to a bad day pass.

@JohnRoberts well the puppy and cat are being good. The birds are still being tough! Even with them on me they kept screaming. After about an hour I couldn't take it anymore and put the little one upstairs. They seemed to stop screaming after that. I think one screams and then it makes the other scream and it's just an endless cycle.
