If you got a good job in the real world ...

If you were suddenly offered a well paid job close to where you live would you give up your online earning sites for good or would you keep them but spend less time on them? Before I retired I had a busy job but I still spent my free time working on online sites because I found it pleasurable. Although it's nice to have extra money, and you can never have too much in my opinion, it's also nice to have a special online relationship with people. If you didn't need the money would you still visit your online sites?

I would quite some sites for sure, but there are others that I would keep doing, maybe not everyday but every time I could.

I used to do my online sites when I worked but I didn't have as much time to spend on them. It can get a bit boring spending too many hours here though.

@nela13 I like to look for new sites but they are hard to find. I'm glad I didn't rejoin Money Gold forum. I can't believe people keep going back to it and making excuses for it.

@sprite1950 Some sites are really boring and I also feel tired of them quickly.

@sprite1950 It's a shame to renounce to do what we like because we are busy all the day. We can find a little time later in the evening.

All I can say to that is that I am online entirely by choice,...well, that and my inherent desire to write. But I do enjoy the interaction as well. The money is a bonus, but it's so tiny—not that I am complaining—that it really doesn't contribute anything tangible to the bottom line. THAT said, if this site did not pay I would not be here. But I do have a good job and it does not deter me from spending time here, Hope that all made sense.

Perfectly. It's pretty much the way most people feel I think as when MyLot stopped paying very few people stayed.

@porwest I would probably be just the same though. Talking about it and actually experiencing it are two different things. I would probably look for something else.

@sprite1950 Me too. There was a actually a rather long lull between Bubblews and finding MyLots. I actually missed this kind of site, so I was glad I found it. Considering the longevity of this site, I hope it sticks around for the longer haul.

I have had to do this recently since I needed to get an offline job so I could pay the bills. I took a short break from online earning but I have come back to doing a few of the sites that I used to do before I got a regular job. Of course, the job that I got isn't full time and it doesn't pay enough to cover my bills, so I had to keep my online earning so that I could try to make a little extra money.

I struggled a lot when my children were young but it's better now. I get an allowance for looking after my granddaughter as I wouldn't manage on my pension.

@morgoodie Teagan is always asking for things that her friends have, sometimes quite expensive stuff. I can't afford everything although I do my best to make sure she has nice things. Some of her friends parents are quite well off.

@sprite1950 Yes children aren't cheap. My son will be eating me out of house and home pretty soon. Both of them are good eaters and I go through groceries pretty fast. LOL I don't make as much at this new job that I was making at the job I lost. It's almost half of what I was making and I don't get very many hours. I picked up some hours in another department and I will have to keep doing that until we get more hours in the department I hired in for.

I am already having a good job....despite that I am on online specially on Mylot though I make few cents here! It is more than making the money, I enjoy participating here and getting responses from my friends her! In fact I I get unwound here to release my stress out! I definitely like to see my earnings board going up every time as that thing boosts me and gives me happiness ! Thanks @sprite1950 !

This is the only site I use and I don't come here for the money anyway so yes I would carry on coming here if I didn't need the money because I don't and I still do. Make sense of that if you can

Yes I get what you mean but many people say they don't come here for the money but when it stopped paying the majority left. I am financially secure but I like the extra money, however, small. I don't think you can ever have too much.

@sprite1950 I think the money is a nice little extra. Little being the operative word as far as I'm concerned. I don't get the time to spend on here to make it worth my while from a purely financial perspective. There are too many people i wouldn't want to lose touch with so I doubt i'd completely disappear if myLot stopped paying!

Even If I have I job I will still look for it. I'm referring to the online site you've been through. You already establish your name on that site, meet and have new friends, create social groups and learn from each other experiences. Maybe the money you got from the real world is not as big as you got from the site but its definitely help you personally by investing your free time while earning an extra and leaving the toxic/stressful environment of your real life job.

I am lucky I have a job.. while not the best Paying job.. I am able to work alone at night and some nights are slow and I am able to go online and do things like MyLot etc and still earn extra money I tend to like to encompass both online and offline work at the same time.. more efficient .

@sprite1950 It is now 5:56am a little more than one hour to go.. I live with 3 other roommates. I co own a house with one of them.. and we split the other bills four ways. it helps a lot.. otherwise individually we would probably not even be able to afford and keep an apartment.

That's nice. I am lucky enough to be retired so won't have to face such a problem . I suppose I will stop coming one day but I wonder what the reasons will be, perhaps I will just get bored or maybe sick and not able to respond any more.
