Are you planning for a Pet?

I think we always plan for having a pet even if we have one or two or many as we like them and they are like our good companions and we can even play with them and kids absolutely love them.
That's why most prefer cats or Dogs or even Rabbit or parrots as well.
What About you? Are you planning for a Pet? Which one? Please share.

I would like to get a dog..but not sure I can really afford one at this time. My cat eats prescription food which is expensive. I don't know about the whole dog thing..if my financial circumstances change, I will think more about it.

Unfortunately I am not planning on any pets any longer. I am retired and travel a lot so it wouldn't be fair to have a pet and leave them with someone else. I have had many cats throughout my life, can't remember when I didn't have one. I also had 2 huge Newfoundland's which are very big dogs that look like bears and I had a miniature collie which was with us for over 16 years. I also had many birds, fish. hampster's, rabbits, snails and parakeets. Probably some more that I am missing.
When I visit my grandson I enjoy his cockatiel. That is a bird and he knows our voices and comes right to the edge of the cage and calls my name. When we take him out of the cage he flies right over to me and gets right up to my face and talks to me.
