Happy Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day today. The best I've had. After church, I stopped at Family Dollar and picked up a card for my daughter and went over there. She was at lunch with her son, my grandson. So, I left the card and went home.
I had started feeling sorry for myself because my daughter wasn't home, and thought the day was a bust, and started making a pot roast. I hadn't gotten it started yet, when my door buzzed. My son showed up to take me to lunch. I finished putting the potatoes in the crock pot, and set it to low, and left.
He took me to Texas Road House. Now, I will say in my defense, I did the best I could to stick to my diet plan. I think the only thing that didn't comply was the butter the onions and mushrooms were sauteed in along with the butter on my potato. I had a delicious sirloin steak with shrimp, a side of green beans, and the baked potato. It was superb, and cooked to perfection.
My son then stopped to pick up a card for someone, and then flowers, which he gave me two beautiful red roses. They're now in my bud vase with the rest of my flowers in the living room.
When he left me at home, he said he was going to my daughter's. I decided, I would head back over to her house, and had a great time, watching her weed her flowers and had great conversation. My son-in-law took the picture of us. My son's friend took a picture of him and me at her place, when we stopped there before he went to pick up the card and flowers.
I was hoping to get a picture with my son and daughter at her house, but when he showed up after me, he was in a hurry to leave. He basically said, Happy Mother's Day to my daughter, gave her flowers and was gone. So, the card wasn't for her. I know he picked up several bouquets of flowers, so he was out making rounds.
I hope all mothers here had a wonderful Mother's Day, and made a lot of memories with your children. How did you spend it?
Thanks for reading. Picture is my kids and me, and spring photos of my tree.

I'm so happy to hear you had such a perfect and wonderful Mother's Day! Your photos show pure happiness. There is nothing better than having such a loving family that truly cares about each other. My day, actually weekend, was overwhelmingly lovely. We are lucky ladies and mothers.

A family bond can never be broken, when it's bound together with 'genuine love!'

@kobesbuddy That would be good. Then it will truly be the best Mother's Day. At least for now, I have Christmas's memories with all my children and a couple grandchildren.

I'm glad your day was so special.
Mine was ok, I was at mom's sifting through all the junk she left us and putting recycle stuff in one bin and trash in another. I felt she was beside me when I was reading through some of the cards her sisters had sent her many decades ago and I don't think she liked the idea that I threw those cards in the recycle bin but I don't have anywhere to put stuff like that, I have enough of my own junk to try to get rid of.

I am glad that you got to see two of your kids on mother's day, and have a delicious meal. I always get the grilled shrimp when I go to Texas Roadhouse.
