He Didn't Like It

Last week our pups had to go to the vet and get their check-ups and rabies shots. This was the first time for them at this vet since they moved in with me when my daughter got divorced.
The vet was nice and sent a welcome card which arrived a day or so ago.
This morning I found the card ripped and half eaten by our dog Gizmo. Apparently he wasn't happy with his visit to the vet and figured he'd destroy all evidence of his being there
Little does he know that he has to go back next month to have his eyes checked.

He's very easy going so I'm sure he'll be fine. Just a moment of rebellion I think

Hopefully he forgets, although they seldom do.
Our son's first vet for their dog, Ellie, was awesome.
After the exam and immunizations she took Ellie into a separate private room which was filled with Soft Kong soft stuffed babies, and she was allowed to choose herself one.
After that, she disliked getting into the car, but was always happy about her vet appointment, of course the many toys that she collected while a patient at that office didn't hurt any.

Giving out toys certainly sounds like a good way to win over dogs. I'm sure Gizmo will be fine when he goes back

@Marilynda1225 We took Ellie to the vet once, the toys were not really "given out" its worked into their bill. But the concept worked well.

Gizmo is so funny. Better not tell the vet what he did.

They really can sense things. So, did you need that card to take it with you?

I remember when Rascal got a postcard in the mail from the vet. He never went near it. I showed it to him and he turned his head away from it as though to say he wanted nothing to do with that place. Dogs know when they get mail from that place. Gizmo was showing you just what he thought of the vet.
