So a lot of you have given me a warm welcome which I am so thankful for and a few mentioned that they would like to know a bit more about my culture which I am happy to share. I know you can just look up all the info you need about any country's culture online but it's a bit of a different perspective when you get to speak to someone that actually lives in such country in my case Mexico!
So the basics which I am sure most of you know is about our food. OMG! don't get me started on the tacos lol! anyone who has visited Mexico from another country must have had TACOS! not all tacos have salsa but they are found pretty much about in every corner of each citie's downtowns. But that is more for like dinner maybe because most tacos spots, unless it is a nice fancy restaurant, won't open till maybe after 6pm.
Now in the mornings you can buy the delicious Tamales, omg! they are delicios you can pick from green or red sauce tamales, and even sweet tamales with Atole, I would describe them all in one single discussion but I would exceed my limit, if there is any, lol! Let me know if you have any questions about my country, I would gladly answer them for you!

Those are steak street taco... I love tamales, but don't like them with sauce in them, they are too hot for me, I only have been able to buy them with just pork inside, and they were very good. Every one here, puts a ton of green or red sauce.

@CookieMonster46 I like a decent amount of spicy but can't be eating spicy every day or I'll get a heartburn and it's terrible, I hate it

Me too love crunchy tacos no matter if they fall apart while eating.
Burrito, defined beans with Mexican rice, salsa with tortilla chips, all delicious. Haven't tried tamales though. Is Cinco De Mayo like America's July 4th?

Oh yeah, the more they break apart the better hahaha XD. No, actually Independence day here in Mexico is on the 16th of September, while 5 de Mayo is to celebrate the day that Puebla, Mexico defeated an army that was more powerful and stronger than them for the first time ever which was the French army.

@AnnieY When I lived in Los Angeles I would often drive to Mexico for the great food. I would love to make a decent salsa verde here but we do not have tomatillos. There is one restaurant here that makes very good cheese enchiladas but I always eat too many!

This might sound stupid or silly but is most of the food there spicy?

No, of course it's not silly. Not all Mexican food is spicy you actually can tell the taco guy for example that you don't want salsa but it's usually put on a side tray so that you can put the amount of salsa you wish or simply none at all. Most Mexicans do like spicy food and a lot of moms do cook spicy but they usually cook with no spice for children. We are used to the spicy flavour but me personally I don't like my food burning my tongue till the point that I can't even finish my food or get heartburn because of how spicy it is.
Some people don't cook spicy either, me for instance, if I want some spice in my food I'll just make a spicy sauce on the side and add it, also because even though my son also likes and eats spicy food, I don't cook spicy since he is just a child and I'm afraid it could irritate his tummy.
Now if you don't want to eat tacos there are always pizza or sushi spots, burgers, McDonald's Burger King etc. XD I love Little Caesars XD

@AnnieY I haven't been to Mexico but there are Mexican restaurants in my city that I frequent alot and every bar has its stock of Tequila and Kahlua. I love Kahlua mixed with vodka and milk and a maraschino cherry.

Oh yeah the tequila and the pulque! hahaha I don't drink but yes, very popular and would you believe me that here in the city burritos aren't really that popular? I lived in Chicago for a few years and people love Burritos there but not here at least not in the City of Mexico. The Kahlua I haven't tried but looks good! lol! XD Have you been to Mexico?
