Happy 100th Birthday: Granny!?!

It is midnight and still feels not quite happy. Today is my granny’s 100th birthday and the party will be held in her house. Unfortunately, my family and I will not able attend her grandeur party. It is a big celebration for an elder who had reached centennial age. Moreover, it is a bitter and sweet situation for my family. We can’t go because of the inheritance issue with my granny’s children. If my old man still alive, it will not be in this kind of situation. “Are you grandparents reached centennial age?” “Do you want to live a hundred year?” Image Credit: 4.bp.blogspot.com

It is nice that some elders still reached the centennial age. I am sure my granny will understand why we can't come to her special day.

@Shavkat You said she is healthy, so I suppose she can also understand and she knows the situation of your family.

@LadyDuck She knew what is going on in the family clan. But then, she cannot do anything. That's the sad part.

I had talked to her last time. I asked the same question. She just said, "prayers." Personally, she doesn't have any vices. In fact, she can eat anything and there is no limitation.

None of them ever lived to see that age not even Seventy. But my Gran´s sisters lived into their 90 somethings so there you go. I am wishing her a very Happy Birthday also with a big hug and from all of us so I am sure she can at least feel the good wishes we all have for her. Fantastic age to live to.

God bless her. I hope she still has good health to go along with her longevity! The closest anyone in my family ever came to that age was Mom. She was 93 when she passed away. She really wanted to make it to 100, but God had other ideas.

I agree. God has plans for everyone. HE is the only one who can decide how long we can live on Earth. My granny is kinda groovy. She seemed to be worrier on her age. She doesn't want to live longer than the centennial age.

@CRK109 It is, my friend. But then, we tried to support her all throughout. I also made a joke to her that she live 150 years. God still has plans for her.

@Shavkat our grand granny came to Singapore from China. She did not know her own age. So she only has an estimation. Based on the estimation of the aged home worker, she estimated that my great granny should be over 100

@Shavkat that is great to hear. I hope you can visit her one day. I am sure she is thinking about you and your family. I am sure she is waiting for you to visit her. My late father was like that. He was always sad when one of my siblings and his family didn't visit him that he forgot to appreciate who was always there for him. It always broke my heart to see his sad face while waiting for the one who didn't come though his son only lives 3 kilometers away.
