Peace and quiet

If you met me in person you wouldn't guess it because I can be pretty boisterous if I set out to be, but I actually prefer the life of a recluse. I like to be by myself and aside from my computer, my favorite companion is a book.
When others would opt to hang out and socialize with others because they would go crazy otherwise, I prefer the peace and quiet that comes with solitude. It's my time to think, to focus, to find my center. In fact, I work best when it's just me and a computer and the quiet of a house or, depending on where I am, the sound of birds chirping and the wind rustling through the branches of the trees or the sound of waves lapping against the distant shore.
I like alone time because it's less distracting. Which do you prefer guys, alone time or lots of company?

When I was still single. I preferred to be with group of friend meeting friends of friends and all that. Eveb hanging at the bar with loud music and all that or doing some videoke.
But now. As I aged, I prefer to be at home or somewhere relaxing and quite like by the shore or in an alfresco place with goid scenery.

Well, you are an introvert. You are the complete opposite of me. I like friends, outdoors and generally interacting with people. It makes my days complete.

@AlisaTR I think much like you I prefer the solitude of which I rarely enjoy due to my hectic work-life. Alone time for me is a time to reflect on where I am in life and where I strive to be and I quite enjoy it.

@AlisaTR Preach! If only the rest of the world can understand the importance of that time, my life would be perfect.

I like both depending on my mood. If I get to be with my besties than it is fine to be in a group else alone is also fine.

@AlisaTR It's exhausting but fun too. Now it depends on our priority in between fun and exhaustance

I guess... hanging out with a really cool friend can be fun. Funny thing though, I think my friends probably think I am a terrible person most times because I tend to avoid social gatherings even though I really love them... it's just too exhausting.

I am kind-of torn between both. I like the quiet of fans blowing to the blaring sound of music when alone. Depends on my mood. About fellowship, I do like to be around people, but not annoying people... You know, the people with the "I am better than you" attitude. I can't afford the best of clothes, and often, people look at me with disgust, like I am a vagrant. When I go to Mass, people shake my hand during the sign of peace, but then when church lets out, the only one to say hello to me is the priest.

I would rather be alone because I like time for myself and do not want much noise.

Sometimes, I also want to be alone. Just like what you said, it's less distracting and you can focus on what you are doing.

Alone time for me. I prefer solitude over the rat race.
